| I grew up playing these games. I wanted to continue playing these games as the company grew with its undeniable successes. However, I am seeing now that unfortunately things are not as they use to be. Either I have grown older and less patient or the games have not been as entertaining as I remembered. I don't really care what the answer to that is anymore; the hard line fact remains for me that these games are not enjoyable. What blizzard has in store for future games do not seem enjoyable to me either. Blizzard Thanks for: Warcraft Warcraft II + expansions Blackthorne Starcraft + expansions Diablo Diablo II + expansions; special thanks for Lord of Destruction World of Warcraft + Burning Crusade / Wrath of the Lich King Starcraft II Unfortunately, I cannot give thanks for Diablo III because I see this game as the official marker that corporate greed has eclipsed the creative output and passion for enjoyable game mechanics Blizzard employees once illustrated via their final products. The company in my opinion has become too obsessed with the "innovative" new ways to have players buy game content. This completely squelches the gaming experience a user like myself wants to engulf themselves in. Instead, Blizzard games become more like a clockwork orange marketing reality that just makes me shake my head and turn away. I want to say maybe I just enjoyed the nostalgia, but I know the truth is that the entertainment process has changed and Blizzard let money dictate its Game Design and ultimately that has corrupted the true enjoyment that a player gets from a game that was designed purely for their enjoyment. That's what I paid for, the products that were designed purely for my enjoyment. What you offer today is a slap in the face to the people who got Blizzard to the success it is today. Now that you have shown how greedy you've become as a corporation; the company will begin to fail. It's a slippery slope from here. Thanks for letting the inner child in all of us down. | Thank you so much for your time spent in Sanctuary, Azeroth, and the Koprulu Sector, Odin. And thank you for your feedback, both this post and the many, many you've made in the past (I know I've personally read quite a few). I'm sorry that current experiences with the game have encouraged you to leave, but I wish you nothing but the best in whatever gaming endeavor you choose to pursue next. I'm sad that it looks like it won't be with us, but appreciate your reasons why. Hopefully we'll seen you again in Sanctuary in the future; and if not there, in one of our Blizzard universes. :) | ||
