“Consider two versions of the expansion: a Standard Edition for $29.99 and a Collector’s Edition for $49.99. The Standard Edition includes the Reaper of Souls expansion; the Collector’s Edition includes the expansion, exclusive in-game content, and other bonus items.†This was in October. Blizzard... why even have these discussions when it doesn't make any difference what we think? So there can be more dissapointment to throw around? | ||

| For the sake of clarity, our press release, news article, and Shop page were the first places in which we announced the price point for Reaper of Souls. Prior to this last Thursday (December 19), no price point had been confirmed or even revealed for the expansion. In early October, however, we sent out a survey to Diablo III players, polling recipients on a variety of topics including expansion features, pricing, and interest in a Collector's Edition. Polygon reported on this fairly early during the survey period, and in their article referenced one possible price point of $29.99 (for standard) and $49.99 (for Collector's). What Polygon likely didn't realize is that different players received different price points on which to provide feedback, not just $29.99. That's not Polygon's fault by any means, though it is likely why some players believe the price announced last week had somehow changed or been revealed previously. /The More You Know All that said, thanks for the feedback! We'll be sure to pass this along with other feedback we're receiving. On that note, since there's many similar threads on this topic active already, locking this one up. :) | ||
