| Cannot connect to game. any NEW solutions?(1) | Category: Technical SupportDecember-17-2013 9:00 PM PST (9 years ago) ![]() | |
| There are probably a bunch of threads on this subject but I wanted to separate this one and see if I get a different solution than what I have found on these forums. I am hoping there is a solution I haven't tried, so I can at least hope to get this going. I am growing extremely frustrated with these connection issues. I cannot even resume a game or start a new game anymore. It has been almost two weeks. Before then I was able to play and reload my games but now all of a sudden when I attempt to start a game or resume, I get the dreaded "The game connection has been lost, client has been disconnected". I looked all over the forums and elsewhere and tried the following. 1. Re-installed the game twice 2. Flush my DNS, power cycle my modem. 3. Tried hardwired and wireless connections. 4. Opened up the ports with a Static IP (according to portforward.com). Verified the ports are open. Internet runs faster after this. 5. Disabled uPNP 6. Did a tracert to all three servers and no latency and no timeouts. packets reach the battle.net servers. 7. Called my ISP provider and they cannot help any further because they see no issue on their end. 8. Router firmware is up to date. 9. There are no antivirus, or male-ware software running in the background Have I missed anything? Is there any other solution I can try?! Any assistance is greatly appreciated. It would be nice to play this game again. Thank you | ||

| Viggo, it looks like you've been pretty thorough, and covered all of the preliminary factors as covered in the troubleshooting article. I would change up some factors, just for comparison: Computer > Router > Modem > ISP > Internet > Battle.net Have you tried your computer on another Internet connection, like at a friend's house? Has a friend brought their computer over to your house, and tried connecting through your network? This will further server to narrow it down to either your computer, or your network. | ||
