| EDIT: Problem solved.. It seems that that launcher was failing to initialize due to the fact I had recently moved some of the mpq files to a virtual ram disk, and had replaced them with a sort of shortcut to real mpq files on the ram disk. This no doubt confused the launcher when it was checking for the real mpq files and finding these link files. I had completely forgotten I had done this, haha :D Hello, I played D3 this morning after the scheduled maintenance was over, and everything was working fine! Well, everything was working fine except the extreme fps drops when playing with other players, but that's a different story! Anyway, about an hour ago when I tried to run D3, the launcher keeps failing to download an update. It cannot get past the "Initializing..." state. After a short while a message pops up telling me that "We're having a problem transferring data. Please check your internet connection just in case and try again." I have tried many times, and it always results in the same problem. I have also tried ending and restarting the launcher and bnet update agent processes in task manager just in case they had somehow screwed themselves, tried restarting the pc. My internet is working as per normal, I have an extremely fast and stable connection. I have tried downloading other things, standard downloads and p2p, and they have been fine. As a rule, I never have any non-essential programs running in the background, or antivirus/firewall enabled. Tried it out on my laptop (on the same connection) and it downloaded the patch absolutely fine, so it's not an issue with my connection, it's something specific to my desktop pc. And as far as I know, my pc is exactly the same as it was this morning when I played d3, without any problems. Needless to say I am confused as to why this problem is occurring. Any help sorting this out would be greatly appreciated! | ||
