| So I've had sporadic freezes for a a few weeks now. At seemingly random times, the game will freeze my entire PC except for the background ambience sound in the area in Diablo 3. I've tried to wait it out, ALT+F4, CTRL+ALT+DEL, etc. But the only thing that seems to work is a hard pc reset. I've done Scan & Repair once when the problem was at it's worst, and I started running it in windowed mode ever since, and I've only had it a few times since then. Today, I suddenly started getting the problem again, and I was hoping to get some help. Please let me know how and if I should post PC specs, etc. Thanks | ||

| archanor, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. It would also help to know how hot your cpu and gpu are getting while playing. If you need a temperature monitor utility, you can get HWMonitor from: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.24-setup.exe Start the utility and then start the game and let it run several minutes. | archanor , Temperatures and your hardware look ok. I did notice you're using a program that may or may not be related. Could you temporarily disable TechSmith from running while you're playing and see if the issue happens again?
