| There is an interesting thread in the US forums about this, with some great ideas, so I thought I would start one up over here for us Europeans! Basically, how would you like to see Adventure mode improved upon or expanded to keep things fresh and enjoyable? Here's my thoughts, as I posted on the US forum thread: Some thoughts on how to improve/expand "Adventure Mode" Bounties Add a bonus to completing all the bounties across all the 5 acts. Make it as suggested a "special" horadric cache that guarantees a legendary item, or gives a set number of Rift Keys and/or Blood Shards. At the moment there is no incentive to clear all acts if you are just after the RoRG for example, or the Gloves of worship. Have random events to encourage group play and discourage split farming. For example, have a cursed chest or shrine that awards XP/Shards/Key Fragments to the person that kills the most monsters during the event, or the most damage without dying (in addition to the usual group reward). Have the provisio that the event can only be triggered by having the entire party present and active during the entirety of the event. Add the chance for a Random Rift boss to spawn during a bounty, with the same rewards as in a Rift. Perhaps add conditions to the reward - no players may die, all players must inflict damage. Also have the level locked when the monster appears, so that if people are Split Farming they cannot join the player until the rift boss has died. Rifts Give Death's Breaths a purpose. Allow the purchase of the "Tomes of Secrets" from Kadala. They were a nice addition to the Beta and I do miss them in the release version. However, change them up a bit to include the following:
Immune to Frozen Damage for the rift duration Immune to Arcane Damage for the rift duration Immune to Lightning Damage for the rift duration Chance to call forth Legendary Weapon Pets - Deadly Cows/Maximus Daemon/etc A chance for all weapons to have a random Legendary Orange text applied during the rift - for example get the thunderfury's orange text on your Burning Axe of Sankis, or the Cluckeye's random "Cluck" effect ;) Allow the caster to bring his/her follower if in a co-op game Add a Random chance of getting a second Rift Boss once you have killed the first or even two or three at once. Add Keywardens to Rifts as random spawns once you have killed the boss to encourage rift completion. Have "Flavoured" rifts:
Only Champions will spawn in the rift Only white mobs will spawn, but density will be increased by 100 - 200% Have different elemental rifts - fire/lightning/poison/physical/cold/arcane damage only monsters will spawn. The rewards from these rifts will increase the chance of items dropping with those elemental damages/effects Uber Rare Uber rifts - only Rift bosses will spawn, a maximum of three at a time until the rift is cleared. Add more "Cow Level" type Rifts. However, lock them down once entered so that they cannot be joined after 25% completion rate to encourage full rift runs and discourage Rifting it Forward to get the "Special" levels without really trying. No area will be repeated in a rift. Sick and tired of getting the exact same location level after level in the Rifts - mix things up a bit. Add Unique monsters to rifts Add events to rifts Add random merchants to Rifts but only on the final level, and also will only have a chance to spawn if 90% of the entire rift has been cleared - NOT just the Rift boss to encourage full rift clearing. These merchants will stock Legendary items/plans and can be influenced by the rift "flavour" Also, the most important thing to add is the addition of more legendary and set items for all classes at a regular interval. At the moment the biggest danger to the replayability of the game is the fact that once you get your BIS weapon or Class Only set completed then that is it, you are no longer searching for loot because you have your Thunderfury or your Wand of Woh, or you have an almost perfect Raekors set and it just doesn't get any better. | ||

Did this thread die? I find it very interesting, so many good ideas, now that I have read them all. Yup there are certainly some interesting ideas in this thread :-) It is always good to hear what people would you like to see in the future of Adventure Mode, so we do encourage people to share their feedback on the kind of improvements and changes they hope for... this thread is a great example of that :-) | ||
