| Hi all First of all, this fix is for notebooks, so dont know if it will solve any problems regards low fps on desktop pc´s. I have a laptop with a gtx 850m, and have had performance issues the last couple of weeks, and the problem is that Diablo 3 is running on integrated graphics and that cant be changed, I even tried to solve it with different solutions that have been posted on this forum, but none of them worked. I link to this thread because there is a bluepost that confirms there is a problem and they are in contact with nvidia regarding this issue: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/9952285244 Now to the fix. i have been in contact with Nvidia support today and they have found a way to force Diablo 3 RoS to run on the dedicated gpu. Step 1: You have to download a 3rd party tool called NVIDIA Inspector. Click on the link below & download the free tool http://downloads.guru3d.com/downloadget.php?id=2612&file=1&evp=ba62db7eeaba59106a67c513e8018e68 Step 2: After downloading & installing this tool, click on the "Configuration icon" as shown in the picture below: http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/8738/nvidia20120621071903.png Step 3: You will now see a list of editable options. In the top profiles tab select the game "Diablo III" & scroll down to find the option "Enable application for optimus" Step 4:Here you shall set it too "SHIM_RENDERING_MODE_ENABLE" Apply the settings & check if you are able to play the game with the NVIDIA card Thats it!
