| Is Diablo 3 a solo play game with a multiplay add on or is it a primary multiplay game with the option to play solo. If it is the former then whats with the huge divide created in what a Solo player has to sacarfice to the efficiency of multiplay. Or in other words why are there not Solo play buffs to even out things like gold drop rate now the evil of the AH has gone. From what I can see there is a huge divide occurring here with the Solo player being punished for their choices. Does the Solo player have any among the MVP's to push our cause and stress that while lots of improvements have happened to rectify the removal of the AH, all the gold sinks are balanced on Multiplay as well as what seems like 90% of the in game buffs. Maybe a Blue should comment on this and where the game is likely to go now with the soon to be launched Ladder system. As it stands Solo players will be unable to compete and you will just see elitists and bots at the top of the ladder. | ||

Is Diablo 3 a solo play game with a multiplay add on or is it a primary multiplay game with the option to play solo. If anything, I would say it is the second one of those two... While Diablo III is certainly playable solo, the game is designed around a multiplayer experience—right from the beginning of development, the developers have been focusing on creating a co-op experience that is both fun and rewarding. We are of course well aware that some people prefer to play alone, and as such that option is available as well. Singleplayer is of course also intended to be a fun and rewarding experience, but playing with other people is likely always going to be more efficient because that is what the game has been built around. If you feel that singleplayer gameplay is not viable at all though, then please feel to elaborate a little more on that in your feedback to us, because we would be interested in knowing more about why you feel that way about the singleplayer experience :-) | ||

| Just wanted to pop in again to thank you guys for the great feedback on the topic of solo-play versus multi-play. Keep up with the great constructive posts, and this thread will certainly be a great one to follow :-) Now I wanted to re-emphasise that the game is designed around the multiplayer experience, but Diablo III is certainly also intended to be playable solo by those who do not think multi-play is fun. If you feel that you are not able to play the game solo, we are certainly interested in knowing more about why feel that way. There are some great posts in this thread (and in other similar threads as well) where people list the differences between solo-play and multi-play as their reason for not enjoying solo-play as much, but if you have other reasons why you do not find solo-play enjoyable besides those aforementioned posts, then we would certainly like to know more about that—what is it exactly about solo-play you personally find enjoyable, and what do you feel is taking that enjoyment away from you? | ||

You seem to be suggesting that solo players are in the minority in Diablo III??? I would have thought it would be the vast majority. All those casuals are immediately jumping into public games? Wow. I am suggesting no such thing. I said nothing about solo players being a minority, so it looks like you are misinterpreting my words a little bit :-) I merely said that while the game is designed around the multi-player experience, people can play solo as well should they prefer.
