Hello,
When I reach phase two at Malthael, my screen goes single color (randomly colored) and then I have to reboot in order to start over agin. Not a single time have this not happened.
It seems to happen specially when he spread them fiery wings.

Is this a bug or is there anything I can do to prevent this?
I should mention that this problem has not occurred during any other part or event of the game.

Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here.

Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder.

We're currently investigating reports from users with GTX 260s over in the US forum.

We don[t have any information yet as we're still in the collecting information phase trying to get enough information fro our QA Department to be able reproduce the issue so it can then be addressed. You might want to add your information to that thread. Along with the dxdiag info, they're looking for the make and model of your graphics card.

As for a possible workaround, you might try lowering the Hardware Class to 2. We've heard from several users with a couple of different symptoms (rebooting/black screen) that it's helping.

Your Hardware Class is currently set to 4

HardwareClass "4"

Just change the value to 2 with the game closed and then restart the game.
