| I played the PC version a bit at launch, and enjoyed it well enough, but I was too busy at the time to really give it enough attention, and never made it to Inferno. I do rememeber reading lots of posts about people hitting walls once they got deep into Hell or the beginning of Inferno, whereby they actually had to farm to progress. That appealed to me a lot because an easy game is a boring game. When it came out on console recently, I snagged the PS3 version as my free time was a little more plentiful and I loved the idea of playing with thumbsticks. The game is a blast, but I am pretty disappointed by how easy it is. I basically went through the whole thing from start to finish on Master I (not from the very beginning, but close enough), occasionally jumping to Master II. I kept expecting that when I got to Inferno, I'd actually get stuck and need to farm, but instead I just steamrolled everything. Killed Diablo first try on Inferno Master I, and could easily have done it Master II or possibly III. So now that I can crush everything, I don't feel any kind of incentive to keep farming, despite the fact that I only have legendaries in 4 slots or so. What would be the point? I guess I could do so until I can crush the whole thing on Master V at lightning speed, but it's a little sad that I've mashed all the content on a single playthrough with no discernible increase in difficulty. I don't even feel a sense of accomplishment. I definitely got my money's worth, but nonetheless I feel a little let down. | ||

The game is a blast, but I am pretty disappointed by how easy it is. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Diablo III even though it was a little easier than you hoped it would be, and thank you for playing it. We put a lot of effort into giving players control over the difficulty settings, but finding the right level of challenge for yourself can be a little tricky at times. Did you try out Master IV or V? Do you have any interest in Hardcore mode? | ||
