| Hi everyone, So i bought a new RIG and installed everything on it and test most of my games and they all work just fine except for Diablo 3. I can open the game and load it successully but the moment i start a game when the little red diamonds start to fill up at the bottom i get a terrible sound loop on my speakers and the computer completely freezes, no BSOD nor any way to restore it without shutting it down by force. GPU GTX 580 with Driver 327.23 ( also tested with an older one before posting). Intel Core i7 3820 Gigabyte x79 UP5WIFI Corsair Vengeance 16gb (Quad channel) so far i have tried to run the game in compatiblity mode but it still doesn't work also checked the event logs and had the nvstreamsvc error, so i went ahead and disabled it and i am still having the problem. now i can't see anything relevant on the event viewer besides the hard reboot. please help me out im desperate now. | ||

| Rorix , Can you post your D3Debug.txt file so we can see if anything is going wrong during the initialization process? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It may appear in a few places in the file if you were able to log in. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Rorix, I'm not seeing any indication of a game problem in your D3Debug file. It never crashed in a way to leave any clues anyways. Did you have the same sound issues when it stopped this time? Revert any compatibility mode changes you may have made as they're not needed and may complicate things. Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Rorix, Nothing really to go on yet. Try booting in selective startup once and see if it's still the same. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Rorix , There really isn't much more I can suggest. We've eliminated all I can as far as conflicts in software would be concerned. Now it's time to concentrate on the hardware which unfortunately isn't as easy. Since your issue seems to be related to sound, I'd recommend disabling the on-board Realtek sound first and using a discrete sound card. I realize you may not have one but that's why hardware troubleshooting is harder and sometime more expensive. If you can, try to borrow a sound card from a friend. If you can't get a sound card, the next thing to try is a new motherboard which is much more of a hassle. The only true way to eliminate hardware as a possible cause is to replace it and see if the problem goes away or not. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Rorix, You might try running an exhaustive system ram test. Memtest86+ is what I usually recommend. It needs to be "burned" onto removable media so it can be booted, allowing the most ram to be tested, not allowing any to be taken up by Windows. http://www.memtest.org/#downiso _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
