everytime i try to login i get a...

"Failed to launch a critical file, Please close all other applications, temporarily deactivate your anti-virus software, and try again. Alternatively, log in as an administrator and try again."

Ive gone to the support page and tried every suggestion there, including reinstalling the game and it still wont allow me to play the game, it was working this morning so i have no clue what happened while i was away from my pc.

Zizou,

Could you open your Diablo III game folder and locate the Diablo III.exe file. Right click on it and select properties. Click on the Compatibility tab next and see if you have "Run this program as an Administrator" checked. If you do, uncheck it and then try the game again.

I'm referring to the actual Diablo III.exe file in the Diablo III game folder, not the desktop shortcut.

Right now, for me anyways, if you use the beta Battle.net Desktop app and have the game executable forced into running as an Admin as I described, it will give this error. If you use the desktop app, give it a try.

If you're getting the same "Failed to launch a critical file" message,

I have to ask again, can you check the Diablo III.exe file properties and verify you do not have it set to run as an administrator in the compatibility section? I'm not talking about the desktop icon. You need to check the file inside your Diablo III game folder.
