Bugs in 'Reaper of Souls' Beta and PTR

Known Issues for the expansion beta, and the Patch 2.0.1 PTR

Old K'Mar Tenclip
The patch on Thursday brought a massive update to the Reaper of Souls closed beta, and the patch 2.0.1 Public Test Realm. As is common in this sort of development process, there are a number of bugs and issues that have cropped up on the test realms. Here is a look at the major issues to be aware of, while testing on the PTR or the expansion beta under the new build #21390.

K'Mar Tenclip Legendary
While a number of Legendary and Set items were updated with this patch, others are still being worked on. The K'Mar Tenclip Legendary Hand Crossbow, seen in the image above, is a Legendary weapon still under development. It currently has the following unique power listed on it:
Strafe no longer costs Hatred.
That power no longer works; the developers will be updating it to a new legendary property, in a future patch.
This legendary is in the middle of being redesigned. As a result, the unique legendary property on this item does not currently function as described. It will be changed in a future PTR/Beta patch.

Accessing Torment on the PTR
This patch brought a big change in the Dynamic Difficulty settings to the PTR, by allowing players to unlock the Torment difficulty at level 60. There was initially a bug on the PTR that prevented characters who were already at level 60 from accessing the Torment difficulty. That has been fixed, but there are some basic steps needed for some characters to unlock the ability to access Torment, as detailed here:
Hey all,

As an update, this issue should now be fixed. In order for the fix to take effect on your characters, however, you’ll need to complete a few simple steps.

Step 1: Login with an account that has a level 60 character, but does not have Torment unlocked.

Step 2: Enter any game with that level 60 character.

    Step 3: Leave that game.

Step 4: Open up the difficulty selection screen. Torment should now be available.

If you continue to experience issues after completing these steps, please let us know.

Changing Maps in Adventure Mode
Bounties are spread across all the Acts in Adventure Mode, and are chosen from zooming into a world map, with buttons to switch between them. Those buttons on the UI are not currently functional, but there is a workaround for that.
Thanks for the report DeVau!

We are aware of this issue and have a fix in place for this internally, but unfortunately that fix did not make it into this beta patch. Luckily, we found that a viable workaround is to right-click on the map to zoom out to the world map. This will allow you to select and travel to a different Act in Adventure Mode.

Covetous Shen Quest Broken
A side quest for Covetous Shen is still broken, but is expected be fixed in the next Closed Beta patch.
This side quest is actually still broken. It was unintentionally removed from the known issues list, but that's been corrected. Sorry about that!

We do hope to have this resolved in the next Closed Beta patch, however.

Read on for the current Known Issues lists, on the patch 2.0.1 PTR, and Reaper of Souls expansion beta.

RoS Beta Known Issues
Here is the big list of major known issues in the Reaper of Souls beta. There is a similar, shorter list, for the Patch 2.0.1 PTR.
Hello everyone, and welcome to the Reaper of Souls Beta! Below you will find the Known Issues list for the current wave of our Closed Beta test. (Patch Notes are available here). Please do not report bugs that you see on this list, as we already know about them, and help out other players reporting bugs by referring them to this list.

As a reminder, this is a beta and changes will be implemented rapidly. This list will not contain every bug that is active in the Reaper of Souls beta content, and this list will be updated at a very rapid pace as the beta progresses.

What it is listed here are a select few issues -- chosen due to severity/impact -- that are active and confirmed as bugs by Quality Assurance with verifiable steps and an expected fix. We have hundreds of bugs in our database, so it would be impossible to list all known issues. Just because a bug is not on this list does not mean we don't know about it! In addition, potential exploits and the like will never be listed here.

Please note that documented bugs may not always be fixed in the order in which they were reported. In some cases, we may not have a timeline for a when a bug will be fixed and some bugs may not be able to be fixed at all. If we are able to verify that a documented bug cannot be fixed, it will be removed from this list.

Thank you for your continued reports, and enjoy the Reaper of Souls Beta!!!

Quests

  • Followers are not properly engaging Lady Ansonia during the “Finding the Forgotten” event.

  • Players are able to access waypoints that have not yet been unlocked when starting a new game after using the Reset Quests button. Please note that doing so will break quest progression and cause you to have to exit and resume your game before being able to advance.

PTR Character Copy
  • Master and Torment difficulties are not properly unlocking for some hardcore characters that meet the required criteria.
Note: This only applies to characters copied using the PTR character copy button before today's patch (2/12/14) and that have not attempted to access Master or Torment on hardcore difficulty since being copied. We are working on a resolution for this issue and hope to have more information on this soon.

Combat
  • Crusader – Heaven’s Fury (Fires of Heaven): This skill’s damage radius can become separated from its visual effect when encountering objects with solid collision.

  • Monk – Mantra of Conviction (Submission): The extra damage caused by Submission does not match the value listed in the tooltip.

Monsters
  • The Westmarch Guards within the Old Smuggler’s Warehouse are not properly engaging nearby monsters.
