Diablo III fast patch fixes multiple bugs from patch 1.0.8

Diablo III Patch 1.0.8a
The fast patch 1.0.8a is live on the Americas Diablo III servers, that provides some necessary fixes to the Diablo III client. Patch 1.0.8a fixes a number of bugs that became apparent after Patch 1.0.8 went live. It also once again increases the stack size of gold on the real-money auction house, from 1 million to 10 million. This will allow the price of gold to drop on the RMAH, but a bug in the initial implementation is what caused the massive gold-duping last week. That has been fixed, and gold should be able to be sold like normal, just at a lower cost than before.

  • Made improvements to address "rubberbanding" issues encountered when using movement-based abilities like Tempest Rush, Strafe, and Whirlwind

Auction House

  • The stack size of gold on the real-money auction house has been increased again to 10 million (up from 1 million)

    • Fixed an issue introduced in Patch 1.0.8 that prevented Item Label Display preferences from being saved

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue introduced in Patch 1.0.8 causing dungeon exits to sometimes be placed in abnormally close proximity to the entrance
  • Fixed an issue introduced in Patch 1.0.8 that prevented players with Starter Edition accounts from being upgraded when playing in an IGR

The maintenance today should also be activating celebrations in the game for the one year anniversary of Diablo III. We'll have more on that once it is live!
