Mouse Pointer invisible after Win10 upgrade(1)Category: Technical SupportAugust-10-2016 11:32 PM PDT (8 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I updated to Windows 10 to give it a test run and now the mouse pointer is invisible in Diablo3. At first I thought it was gone entirely but I realised it was still there just invisible (and moving weirdly) because some of the buttons would light up as I moved the mouse around. Side note: While Diablo was running the mouse pointer was invisible in Windows as well - I alt-tabbed back to try shutting Diablo down and I couldn't see the pointer.

I did however, find that setting the display mode in Diablo from "Fullscreen" to "Windowed (fullscreen)" brought the pointer back. I could then immediately set it back to "Fullscreen" and the pointer would remain visible. Unfortunately, each time I shut down Diablo I need to go through that process over again as the pointer is invisible again on next start.

It was bad enough when the mouse pointer was laggy on high-res screens, this is beyond ridiculous.

edit; Win10 64bit, Nvidia GTX970 (latest drivers), Samsung UHD display at 3840x2160 (Diablo at that res), Mouse is Logitech g700s running latest Logitech drivers. Custom Scaling level in Windows is set to 150%.

Carnacki,

"Custom Scaling level in Windows is set to 150%."

Setting it back to the default of 100% or using a custom value that's not one of the pre-defined values should take care of this. For example, if you prefer the larger size due to the higher resolution, use a custom size of 149 or 151 instead of 150.

Zane,

You have to manually adjust it to a custom size and not use one of the pre-selected values.

Right click the desktop somewhere

Left click on Display settings

Left click on Advanced display settings

Left click on Advanced sizing of text and other items

Left click on set a custom scaling level in the Change size of items section

Change the value in the box to 149 and click OK

Test and see if it helped
