Experiencing constant lag. Attached WinMTR(1)Category: Technical SupportFebruary-19-2015 2:27 PM PST (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Hello,

For a couple weeks now I've been experiencing really bad lag. It isn't constant however. Some days I don't have any. I've reset my router, called my ISP and had them reset my connection and it doesn't help. Any advice?

There's some packet loss between your computer and the router, and even more between your router and modem. Are you wired or wireless to your router? What's the make and model of your router?

I'd check for the latest firmware first. Then I'd see if different wireless modes reduce the lag. Page 64 of the manual shows how to change wireless modes (The manual is for v5. If the instructions aren't right, check on Netgear's support site.).
