| T'was the Twenty-Sixth of February, one hundred score and ten That I pre-ordered Diablo 3, for a bargain way back then Then patiently waited, for fifteen months, plus a dozen more for luck When finally, the postman came, and a package my floor struck "I've got you now" I said with glee, and rubbed my hands and cackled Then spent some hours by my PC, as if I had been shackled I played the game for a short time, and like others, was kicked out And struggled to get back in again which made me almost shout Diablo three was not the game we expected it to be Diablo two was far more fun, we compared it naturally Only four per party instead of eight? How lame! For this, and other differences, D3 had lost its fame But a hard core fan I've been and am - and therefore persevered For months and months, and changes by Blizzard, before I disappeared I stayed away, and played some others, like Oblivion which then was new The arrow to the knee, and tales of yore, reminded me of you One day, my nephews, the spoiled brats, with PS3 consoles Showed me that they were playing D 3 - the new Reaper of Souls I watched them play, on Torment One, for they could not do better And by pure coincidence that very night, Blizzard sent me a letter "Fifty Percent Off" they said, for D 3 R O S I clapped my hands and smiled a bit and muttered "Oh, God, Yes" I paid the fee, and got back in, to the game that changed a bit And found the game and community, had become more tightly knit. Since then I've played, day in and out, with effort I must say Act 5, and rifts, and bounties and bosses - at least four hours each day Season one, and two and three (the current) - I've played both soft and hard The Fourth Season, being tested right now, is quite avant-garde Two thousand hours I've played this game, plus half a thousand more I'll double this with all that's coming - of that I'm very sure My journeys will be many and my bounties will be plentiful the items that we soon will find will be - in short - incredible Ninety-Nine Percent my achievements are, and soon to be a hundred With rifts galore, a new T 10, and many chests a plundered I just wish there was more stash space - that would flipping grand And more slots than just fifteen - so our play styles can expand Just one more thing, before I go, and end this long ballade The work you've done to improve this game deserves a huge applaud To Josh Mosqueira, D3 Saviour (and your crew) From me, a Diablo Fan, I say a huge "Thank You" | ||
